| Funky | That is probably the loudest I have laughed in a long long time.

| Humpa | I'm glad you enjoyed my drive-by singing.
Though I wish I could get these videos in something other than this 3g2 video format - it gets old to have to tell people that they need QuickTime 6.5.1 or newer to play them! | 10:37am Dec 25th 2005 |
| Funky | Actually it does suck, in fact I'm viewing the page with Firefox and the plugin is missing to view those 3g2 files. To install, it sends one to the apple site and you have to get iTunes!! .. sucks.. | 2:06pm Dec 25th 2005 |
| Humpa | You do not need iTunes.
As long as you have QuickTime 6.5.1 or newer, the 3g2 video files should play just fine in Firefox or Internet Explorer.
They do for me.
Maybe I should uninstall QuickTime and start from scratch so I can write a guide for you guys to be able to view 3g2 files?
BTW, it does not cost anything to get QuickTime 6.5.1 or newer. | 2:29pm Dec 25th 2005 |
| Humpa | QuickTime is up to version 7, which includes iTunes
Is that a bad thing? Should I find an old download of QuickTime and offer that? | 2:31pm Dec 25th 2005 |
| Funky | yep | 2:33pm Dec 25th 2005 |
| Funky | But not here, in the forums. | 2:33pm Dec 25th 2005 |
| Xecuter2 | hey, search google for quick time alternative | 6:13pm Aug 19th 2006 |
| Humpa | You don't need iTunes - On the Quicktime download page there is the standalone version and the version with iTunes.
Xecuter2 if you know of another way to get firefox to play these 3g2 files, please feel free to elaborate. | 6:25pm Aug 19th 2006 |
| Xecuter2 | http://www.free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Alternative_download.htm
Get that and it will play quicktime with WMP and it also installs a plugin for ffox
Tell me if you have any problems with it | 6:31pm Aug 19th 2006 |
| Humpa | Thanks.
I'm happy with quicktime for the moment (it used to annoy me, but strangely I don't mind it anymore). | 6:36pm Aug 19th 2006 |
| Xecuter2 | nice | 6:39pm Aug 19th 2006 |
