The picture file is then put online in your very own gallery - instantly sharing your life! When you upload a picture you can add a title (as the email or mms subject) which will be displayed as the title of the post, and therefore subject for user comments. Welcome to !

What is this?

ThePhoneCam.com is a free, multiuser camera phone weblog. People can send pictures by e-mail or MMS with their mobile phones containing photos, texts and videos and it will be presented on the web page. Each user is also given their own page with only their postings on. It's all about sharing your daily life with others - at least the part of your life that you want to share and feel you can squeeze into your mobile phone.

What is MMS?

MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service. In short it is the successor of SMS (Short Message Service) with the enhancements that you can not only send text but basically any content type your phone can handle such as images, text, videos, ring signals and audio clips.

Can I join?

Yes, you are welcome to! Just sign up by filling out a small form.

Does it cost money?

No, it's totally free to you! Your pics do however become the property of ThePhoneCam.com and we are free to use them for marketing purposes. But rest assured it's all good and it's only to bring more users to your community Smile

Do I have to have a phone with a camera to join?

Since this is a phone cam blogging site it is much more fun if you can participate and contribute with content but there is nothing that stops you from joining anyway just to participate in the discussions. Everyone is welcome.

What phones are supported?

All phone cams should should work. If your phone is not listed and it works for you please drop us a note and tell us about it.

It doesn't work for me. Can my operator have blocked me?

Yes, some operators do not allow access to external MMSC:s. There might be workarounds for it though - drop us a note. If everything fails you can always fall back to email so that you send the message to an email address.

How do I set up my phone?

When you sign up you will be sent instructions on how to do that.

Can I still send regular MMS:es with your settings?

Yes, just save your MMS server settings and you can recall them easily.

Why don't you use MMS sent to an email address instead of this direct posting?

We do that now. You can choose to either edit your MMSC setting and use the supplied URL or to keep your operator's setting and send the message to an email address instead.

What about copyrighted material and abuse?

Copyrighted material or other content which is not good to display publicly we will of course ban, that user will also be banned forever, the board is also self moderated flagging admins of content to be screened before publishing.

How do I caption my pics?

When you send in a pic, the subject of the message is the caption. If you rename your pic, and that is used in the subject, be aware that your provider or phone my crop the filename to a certain number of characters.

My pictures aren't showing up. What's the deal?

ThePhoneCam only accepts pics emailed directly from your phone, not from your regular email account (i.e. Hotmail, Yahoo, your company, etc.).

If you're doing this and your photos still aren't showing up, perhaps your carrier is not yet supported by ThePhoneCam.com. Instead, send a photo from your phone to test@thephonecam.com so we can add your carrier.

What kind of pics can I post?

Only original pics shot with a phone-camera are allowed. No pics of pics, fakes, and nothing too vile. Violators will be banned and no longer able to submit pics to ThePhoneCam.com from their phone.

Why do some of my pics seem to have dissapeared?

They were probably flagged as "adult" by the ThePhoneCam.com community and only appear in "uncensored" mode. In the event that your missing pictures do not contain adult content, please allow up to a week for manual review.

Can I delete a pic or comment?

Yes. Login and you can flag to us you wish a pic to be deleted.

Can I add adult pics and adult videos?

NO and illegal content will be deleted and the user banned and reported. All adult content will be flagged adult whereby a user must set an adult cookie to view it.
